Hi, I'm Rosabel (Rose)

My journey into calligraphy began with hand-lettering though it's hard to remember when I first started learning being someone who has a million hobbies and who just likes to give everything a little bit of a go. However, I do remember my days exploring typography art, moving on to lettering, brush lettering, and finally finding my love with dip pen calligraphy after being gifted a quill from Paris. Honestly, It was very surprising to me that I managed to find a creative hobby I love doing and could stick with!

In 2021, I had the opportunity to be a part of my first live calligraphy event and in 2022, I took calligraphy one step further by learning how to engrave on fragrance bottles and other glass pieces. I honestly can’t tell you how much I love it!

Being a part of this calligraphy world has been such a journey of learning and growth. I have a deepened appreciation for the art, it's introduced me to a community of passionate and talented people and I feel like I've discovered more about myself every day and learning how to put myself out there.

On a personal note, I was born in Singapore and grew up in New Zealand. Whenever I do go back, I must have a plate of Singapore Hokkien Mee. I have two sibling cats - Mina the calico who’s super sweet and often uses me as a bed, and Bumi, the grey cat with white socks who’s such a silly boy. I love finding the best matcha spots, munching on seaweed snacks, and I'm an INFJ.
